Emmy winners try their luck backstage

Fresh off her Emmy win for best supporting actress in a comedy, Doris Roberts stopped by to try her luck at the poker table.

While she proved to be a winner on Emmy night, her run at the poker table wasn't quite as lucrative.

The Donald and Melania also stopped by. But let's be honest, what thrill can gambling really bring to a man worth billions?

Of course, just like in Vegas, there were winners and losers.

Patricia Arquette, whose role in NBC's “Medium” earned her the Emmy for best actress in a drama series, proved to be too much for Access host Billy Bush at the poker table.

“The winner wins again,” she proudly proclaimed, holding up one of many winning hands, much to Billy's dismay.

And then there was Tony Shalhoub.

Tony might have won the Emmy for best comedy actor (“Monk”), but his time with his trophy would prove to be short lived as he wagered it on one hand and lost it to our host.

“I can't play these,” Shalhoub said looking at his cards and handing over the Emmy.

Of course, it was all in fun so Tony did indeed get to head home with his hard earned trophy.

But Ray Romano almost didn't.

After stopping by and winning a few hands, the “Everybody Loves Raymond” star left — without his beloved Emmy he received for best comedy.

So we did the right thing and returned it to him, right smack in the middle of his interview with the “Early Show.”

“You left this with us,” Billy said, handing over the trophy to a stunned Romano.

But win or lose, the Access poker room was about more than having a good time. Each celebrity who stopped by personally autographed are Access Hollywood playing cards. The decks will be donated to the "Clothes Off Our Back" celebrity charity auction.
